Unhappy need help deciding on a new engine

Ok so I recently found out that my ex-wife cheated on me while I was in Afghanistan and she let her new "bed buddy" drive my truck with out me knowing, until about week ago. Because of this I want to put a new engine in it so it feels like mine again. Only the problem is I don't know what to put in it. It is a 97 XLT 4x4 standard cab with a triton 4.6l in it. I want to put something in it with a little more power than what it has now and lose as little towing capabilities as possible without breaking the bank. Any help would be much appretiated.

Pretty shabby treatment that; trade the wife in on a new or newer vehicle.

+1, I know when I go over to Afghanistan. I am leaving the keys with my parents, so no one can drive it but them. or even in my safe to where no one can drive it until I get back.

May the Lord protect you and your compatriots while you are over there.....and DON"T get married before you leave.

Better yet, call him up and tell him he can have the truck. As he drives off, call the cops and report it stolen. When i was in Iraq, my now ex cheated on me. After i got back i called her new BF and told him to come get her. Helped her pack, placed it on the curb for her, then took a long drive while they loaded it up. Needless to say, all she got in the divorce was what i packed for her.Oh and all HER bills.

It's not April, but this sure sounds like a joke to me.... Being that he did not touch the motor, but he did touch your seat, steering wheel, etc.... Wouldn't you replace those items?

Kinda fishy in my book, but true If I was in your shoes I would sell the truck . Let her find a new home where she will get treated well. And get a new truck

I appreciate the support and I don't plan on getting married before then. And to the other guy, I am starting to agree just sell it and get a new truck. Plus a new girl.
