Whining sound when i drive off?

Whining sound when i drive off?
Sometimes then i drive off i can hear a whining sounds for a second or two. First i thought it was the power steering pump because it seemed to only occur when i drive off turning from a stop but now it seems to whine when i drive off straight forward as well.
It doesnt emit the sound every time though, could it be the tranny pump?

Does this happen more at night, with the headlights on? I'm thinking the draw on the alternator isn't being handled well by a worn serpentine belt.
How's that belt look?
