I ended up getting a reman from a website called detroit axle. $129 shipped, no core charge, and they give you a prepaid label to send your old one back which activates your lifetime warranty. To my surprise I received a genuine ford part. It remains to be seen how well it works (only got the pump installed today) but for the price it can't be beat.

The saginaw pump - oh my god - easiest recommendation ever. It steers like a cadillac. I can spin the wheel lock to lock with my pinky at a complete stop. Why they put these only on vans I'll never understand.
Thanks kind Sir, I will definitely check that out! Have fun!

oooooo!!! I am about needing to do that too. Tightened my gearbox a 1/4 turn, but still quite a bit of play. May try adjusting a bit and change more fluid, but I gotta feeling...

I did the adjustment awhile back. It lasts for awhile, but not long. Pretty much back to where it was about 6 months ago.

Changed my transfer case fluid today. Need to change the coolant and then all of the fluids except the front axle will have been changed within the last 5000 miles.

Front axle seems a little daunting - and I am not sure the oil has ever been changed.

Today I get to change radius arm bushing, pivot bushing and all of the tie rods. I recently replaced the hubs/bearings/rotors and it stops like a dream. But still wobbles at 30ish and I can't stand it.

Replaced the Fuel Pump and reinstalled the tank. Truck still will not start, not getting any power to the pump. Checked all fuses and relays and all are ok

Isn't there some sort of switch down behind the brake pedal that shuts of power to the pump after an impact? I forget what it's called but could be worth checking.

Today, this afternoon, this evening and tonight, I changed my radius arm bushings and axle pivot bushing. Holy Smack! That's a J. O. B. and one that I care not do again. However, the truck does drive better, and tomorrow will change the tie rods and have her aligned. I am hoping she drives like a new one. Truck has 230 clicks and radius appear to have been factory.
