Default Temp gauge not working 1995 F150

OK, it's almost spring and my temp guage has died. Good news is I still have heat.

So, what is it.... the gauge itself, a voltage regulator, temp sensor.... or ????

It was working fine, showing mid-range temp, then this morning for no aparant reason, it died.

Ideas? Fix?

I've heard that there are TWO senders (sensors) on a 4.9L F150. Do you know which one would be more suspect? One at the block and one at the thermostat area.

I had a Dodge Aspen that needed the block one replaced.

The one near the thermostat is for the computer, the one at the rear of the block is for the gauge.
