speedometer jumping
I have been researching my jumpy speedometer and find that there are more than one fix for this. my truck is a 1995 ford f-150 4x4 5.0 engine. do I get the speed sensor on the third member or is there one on the transmission. there is one on the third member but when I look this part up auto zone says its the one on the transmission. confused as to which one to get. thanks in advance to anyone that can help

It could be several things. The sensor on the rear diff (or the wiring to it), the sensor on the trans, or the PSOM itself. The rabs module is also tied in there.
I'd start with the one on the rear diff (VSS) as it's the most likely. It could just have iron filings stuck to it that are confusing the signal, so sometimes just cleaning it and changing your rear diff fluid helps.
Those sensors, I'd recommend you drop a few extra dollars and buy Motorcraft brand.
