Default 22" rims on 92 f150 HELP

So I bought a set off chrome 22"s for my 92 xlt and the bolt pattern is 5x5 on the rims. My trucks lug pattern is a 5x5.5 I ordered adapters 5x5.5 to 5x5 & was going to have my custom rim shop install them. They told me it would be no problem but since the adapters sit 1.25" wide the rims would not be hub centric making them lug centric (only supported by my lugs). Which they said would cause vibration when driving.... my question is can I buy new hubs for my truck that are 5x5 instead of the stock hubs (5x5.5) so that the rims will be hub centric???? The way the rims are I don't see a possibility of redrilling to make them 5x5.5 & I'm worried if I use the adapters the vibration will loosen my lugs... I've already had a rim fly off of my last truck. Don't want that again. If anybody knows about this I'd really appreciate your help. Thanks forum!

You need to buy hub centric adapters, $350 range, and about 2" wide.

I've tried looking up hub centric adapters for 5x5.5 to 5x5 & I haven't found any.. If it's 2" it won't be hub centric cuz the rim will be 2" off the hub..

If you don't use an adapter, it won't be pushed out 2". Unless you buy bowtie parts for your Ford, you will most likely have to use an adapter.

If the adapter has an indented ring to center on the hub and then a protruding ring to center the wheel, you could use 12" wide adapters and still be hubcentric.

I can only imagine how fast you'll blow through wheel bearings.

There are so many variations that hub centric are made to order. Only a couple places that do it, one in Cal and one in Denver.

They'll be fine. Just use a torque wrench to tighten things.
The extra offset is a little harder on wheel bearings but you just have to check them a little more often.

Thanks for the input guys I'm gonna try to find my size adapter with the hub centric lips. & re-torque every 10-25 miles of driving.
