If you sell the free kit for free, it's especially difficult.

I JUST now reread that and thought to myself that I'm kinda of an idiot. Then confirmed by the follow up post.

Atleast I'm not worried about what strangers on the internet think of me, ha

You get a receipt. You have to show the receipt for you free purchase at the exit, if you don't have the receipt, you re shoplifting.

as far as removing the stock radio, they sell tools to remove them, but all you really need is 2 small pieces of a clothes hanger wire (about 8 inches in length each). You'll notice that there are 4 holes on the corners of the radio- bend the 2 small metal wires and insert each end into the holes, one end on the top and one end on the bottom (not side to side). This will release the latches that holds the radio into the truck. From there you can use something to pull the radio out (for me 2 screwdrivers did the job), taking care not to snap any corners or ends off of the old radio (that is if you care about the shape of the old radio after you have it replaced). Hope this helps!

I second the suggestion to connect the adapter plugs to the stereo's plug inside, at a table, with a snack and drink. Once the adapter is connected to the deck and your factory deck is out, installation takes about 15 seconds! I just installed a Sony deck and Kenwood speakers myself. I got the adapter harness on amazon.com for 8 bucks or something like that. I also recommend cutting the wires a little shorter...especially if you have limited room in the opening.

So im confused. I havent even started to swap the radios, but I went to day to advance to get the Harness for ford.

The guy at advance looked it up and gave me the package, and there are two connectors in it.

A black one and a grey one that each have 8 wires on em. The sony harness has 12 wires... I still have the receipt in case I need to get a different one, but how would I go from 1 12 wire harness to 2 8 wire harnesses.

thanks again in advance

You wire the radio to the plugs man. It doesn't plug into the radio, it plugs into the truck.
