Question Low voltage to rear fuel pump

Hi everyone I was a member here few years ago.
I lost my login info and just have not visited the forum.
Anyway I wrote it down so I wont do that again, its good to be back.

My truck is 1990 f150, 4x4, inline six, 5 speed.

Issue is Im only getting about 5 volts to my rear fuel pump and the front pump works fine.
There is lots of info on the web regarding low voltage but I cant find my particular situation.

What ive done.
Hooked 12 volts directly to the fuel pump and it works,
Hooked a jumper on the pump relay just to see,
Fallowed the wiring harness from the fuel tank to under the hood and am getting low voltage there as well.
The yellow fusible link from the relay looks good but I did not cut back the wiring
harness (don’t think it even applies to my situation)

I didn’t check things like the as the truck runs good on the front tank.

I did read a post where the guys ecm was shot again don’t know if it matters with my front pump working and all.

Sorry for the long post I know wiring problems could be a lot of different things.

thanks. jay.

What voltage are you getting to the front tank ? 5 or 12 ?
And what voltage is it supposed to be getting ?
A lot of pumps run at lower voltage - don't know about yours.

Clean the tank selector switch contacts.
