Default Looking at upgrading to 94 f250

Alright guys I'm not a diesel mechanic so I would appreciate the insight. I'm looking at a 94 f250 7.3 idi turbo ext cab. It's got a trans cooler along with an 8' bed and 4.10 gears. It's around my price range, but the guy says "It started after cranking forever but after I shut off couldn't get it to start again." I am looking to drive a camper around and live in it for a bit, so this truck could be perfect. But I need insight on what the problems could be and if it would be worth the trouble. It has around 150,000 miles on it. Thanks

Did it run out of fuel? It sounds like air in the fuel line, when air gets in the fuel line it needs to be purged out or you'll just crank it over forever. My dad had a 89 E350 with a 6.9 diesel he sold it at 450,000 and it still ran strong. The non turbos are pretty sluggish but still tow a good load and cruze down the highway nice.
