Default instrument cluster

I have a 1995 ford f 150 eddie bauer. it doesn't have an rpm gauge. how hard would it be to change the instrument panel to one that does?

Remove old cluster, install new cluster. I think you have to stick with '94-'96 for plug and play.

yeah you have to use the 94-96 cluster . i had a 93 and i had to use the 92-93 due to different wiring . all come with stock wiring for the cluster. good luck man. let us know how it goes.

I have a 92 cluster in my 95. Plug and play. 95/96 cluster has a BAT light.

If you use the earlier cluster, the only thing you'll have to do, is provide 12 volts keyed to the exciter wire on the alternator. That is the small green wire.
Everything else plugs right in and that works like it should.

thats exactly what i have ...a 92 cluster in a 95...speedo,tach and gas work fine ..no volt, oil or temp and not charging..i have a feeling the oil and temp gauges themselves might be bad but idk about the volt meter ...when you wired a switched hot to the green exciter wire doe the volt meter work???
