Got it 99% done now. Gonna let it sit this evening in some more clean gasoline. Gotta work on the tank. Trying to figure out where I am going to dump it.

Removed this much sludge from the bottom of the tank. It just peeled right off.

This gas apparently sat fot a very long time. The goo on the side walls is very little and coming off the goo on the bottom actually came off rather easily. I believe this tank worth restoring. It just is in too good a shape inside and out (minus the varnish) not to de-varnish and save plus I don't have the $$ for a pump, tank, and rear tank. The stuff on the floor of the tank is gone. Like I said peeled right off in my hand. What did not came up with a broken yard stick. (couldn't fit my hand up front.

OK well if I have pulled it, $40 is all I would ever spend. $60 at the most. After that it isn't woth it. I pulled the tank. I cant spend what a new tank would cost to save an old tank.

i hate to see how bad your lines are gummed up. not to mention your injectors and fuel rail and regulator.

you must be one broke **** to sit and clean all that out, i would of headed to the slvage yard and picked one up there used that would prolly be in alot better shape.

as far a dr. bowtie, on rockauto parts i've ordered 4 fuel pumps for 2 different year trucks plus about 2k in other parts and always got the parts i ordered, sometimes there site is hard to follow with all the different parts options but if you know exactly what your looking at and looking for you'll get the right part everytime.
maybe next time you should leave the parts picking up to the kid at autozone that way you get the right parts.
