I'm happy to have one you can't hear. I hate those stupid dingers/buzzers, they annoy the living hell out of me!
Sorry man, I don't know how to fix it or even where to look

Dude I went up under my dash, and pulled it out. I have the dinger on my 1992.
I removed the plastic box from the circuit board, and plugged it back into the harness. At that point, I experimented with miscellaneous things to quiet the dinger a bit. Ended up just putting a little tape over the hole, then putting everything back together.
As you can see in the picture, My dinger was mounted right there between the transmission hump and the gas pedal. You can see the top of the gas pedal lever in the corner of the picture.
I also unplugged the wire at the base of my seatbelt (No airbags), so the truck doesn't ding anymore when I turn it on before putting on my belt.
Do you know if you have a dinger versus buzzer? look for this deal up under your dash. There might just be a metal tongue under there where the dinger used to mount

The buzzer and the instrument panel lights are on the same fuse on my 96 I would imagine yours should be too..If you want it that is!!! Just looked it up its fuse # 4 (15 amps) on my truck.
