Stock T5 transmissions will not handle the heavy duty use of a pickup truck. The shifter will be to far forward on the floor board. You will have to purchase a performance aftermarket T5 most likely with the shifter further back.

If you plan on street-strip application, "a performance built auto would be the way to go in my opinion."

For farm truck use. I would swap a ZF 5 speed. Slow sluggish shifts but built to last.
