to do the saginaw swap in the f series you need to get the pump and bracket off an E-series 302/351 years 92-96.

I was selling some junkyard ones on FTE that I pulled but just sold the rest of them.

This is what they look like installed

Make sure you get the bolts to the A/C as well as they have smaller threads I believe.

sag pumps are easily spotted by their tear drop shape.

I have yet to finish hooking mine up but the van I pulled mine off of had a little under 100k miles and the engine bay was clean. So I hope this pump still works

You will also need to get a different size belt.

Heres a good "How to"

Like I said before, you need the pump, pulley, and high pressure line. That's it, no belt, no bracket.

Wrong, the pulley on these is larger and the pump itself sits another .5" further out in the bracket. The stock brackets for the C2 pumps are not even drilled to house the saginaw let alone to even fit the saginaw properly. The best and easiest possible way is to go pull the bracket from the JY. Takes maybe 10min and is 100% going to fit not to mention most pull and pays only charge $25 for the whole thing including the bracket.

Why anyone would want to go get a pulley puller, take off the POS C2 pump, drill it to fit a sag and clear away some metal in the C2 mold is beyond me and not even worth the time.

The pump pulley is damn near on the steering shaft with the sag.

Wrong, I did do this swap also and the brackets are the same. Exactly the same bracket, and the pump pulley was the same diameter.

Wow... really?

You put it on a 4.9L

Completely different brackets on the 302/351

I have tried to fit the sag on them.. not going to happen

Part numbers for the 4.9, 5.0 and 5.8 van pumps are the same, same pump regardless of engine. Same with the truck. Which means it doesn't matter which engine or bracket you have, either pump will bolt on the bracket.

Alright man, you got me. Now I feel dumb. You were so sure, so I double checked my stuff. They are different, I didn't notice the slight difference. Thanks for correcting me, now I can stop telling people the wrong crap.
