87 right front brake hose
Hi, I have a 87 xlt and I'm trying to replace my right front brake hose and I'm not sure I'm doing right. I've round off the union nut. I've removed the C clip on the wheel side, and the clip on the engine compartment side is still attached. Can someone tell me the proper procedure for replacing the right front brake hose, and how to remove the rounded off union nut?

No Pain, No Pain!
Not sure I can offer too much help here, but I will try.
You may need to use lock-jaw, or vice-grip plyers to
remove the rounded-off nut. As for the hose, you
seem to have mentioned everthing I can think of that
would be keeping it in place, minus the rounded-off nut
that is!

Suggest to try penetrating oil - I think PB Blaster is one of the trade names.
Brake lines are a bite in the shorts. If things are already rounded off, be ready to use brute force and be acceptable to the concept of replacing some brake lines beyond your original scope - both the steel tubing and rubber lines.
Not much that a big honking set (or sets) of vise-grips can't undo.
I go by the philosophy that brakes and steering are vital. As long as those two are working, there isn't a whole lot of trouble I can get into.
