Default 4" lift questions..

I picked up a newer 4" skyjacker lift with axles and 4.56 gears for $300 for my 91 and im wondering what size of tires should I run so it isnt overgeared or undergeared. My truck has a 351 windsor and E40D trans, I was thinking 35s. Also I got the thing that centers the tie rod pivot point to eliminate toe in throughout the suspension travel, what is the right name for that?? Any help would be help, thanks!

pitman arm is the part you are thinking of, and I would think that with 4.56 you could run 37s

um i got 456 gears im my f150 and my jeep my wrangle is a 5 speed and i cant get over 65mph with those gears and the 35s.
my f150 5.0 turbo with auto tranny same gears with 37 i can do 90 plus and still be ok. just watch out for those ujoints i keep snapping them out in the mud. slidding side ways from dirt to concrete road is a killer with thoses gears and its really easy to leave black lines it the road. do ur self the favor and when u put thoses gears in get a locker even if its a dd as long as u dont do crazy u turns all over town like i lost visitor then u will be ok on and even better off road. but a buddy of mine has stock 355 gears i beleve with 35s and he can still roast tires. the auto tranny helps out alot. so with the auto tranny it has room to slip but if u got a manual boy o boy u deff need the gears lol

Haha I know what a pitman arm is. But this is a special bracket and new tie rods that moves the tie rods pivot point to the center of the truck, and it eliminates the need for a drop pitman arm. Its made by Skyjacker as well I believe. But I just cant remember what its called and I cant find it on google! Thank you for the help!

And thanks ttavenieriii for the input!
The gears are already in the axles I got, and there posi's front and rear.. so this winter is going to be interesting..
Also ttavenieriii, how much lift do you have on your truck to clear those 37s?

I've got a 4" lift, with 33's, and I think 35's would look better on it, but with 37's I dunno if you'd get rubbing or not if you actually use it off road. But I don't think the gears would have a problem with it

I highly doubt 37's will fit without fender work. I know 35x12.5's will and maybe...just maybe a 36x12.5 or a 35x14.5 will....I know for 38.5x15x15 on mine it took me 12 inches and some fender work but thats cause its the width that gets you, I could put a 40 or 42 under it if I stuck with a 12.5.....

Yea, I think I'd stick with 35's. Most of the fitment guides online say the same thing. By the way, nice truck darknite. I'm a big fan of the nite package trucks, you don't see too many around.
