Parts Availability / Questions
Working on a `96 F150 2W drive , 5.0, automatic. Finally got it to start and run today after repairing the starter.
What is the availabilty of parts for this truck , like the brakeline (metal lines) , fuel lines ?
Are there ways to repair a metal line ? Cut it out and splice in a new piece ?
As this truck was running for a few minutes it started to develop a rattling / vibration noise(sounded like an exhaust heat shield rattle). I pinpointed the noise to the transmission. Any thoughts ?
I planned to drop the pan and change the filter ?

Dodge+Ford = always ready
parts are extremely easy to find for that truck, iv had no trouble in the past.
the rattling, i have no idea what would be rattling inside the transmission. i know i had a heat shield rattle on my truck when i first got it, that was it though.
