Tailgate badges on fenders?

Mike94ZLT1 ... Will the tailgate emblems work on the fenders, and will they cover all of the alignment holes? Thinking of purchasing 3 of these and having them powdercoated black: < ebay URL >
- non-flat back mounting surface.
- different mounting/alignment - tabs versus pins
- different length - shorter *MEANING: even if you flatten the back so that it could be attached, it would be too short to cover all the fender alignment holes

And as others have mentioned ... You cannot powdercoat plastic..

The tailgate F-150 emblems cannot be used to replace the fender emblems ...

Mike, just stumbled on this thread, since I have a '17 now, I don't look here often.
Somewhere out in the barn, I've a set that is what you're looking for. I PTMed the black insert to red, and the chrome black Plastidip.
