I disassembled mine and painted / cleared them. They're all plastic. No powdercoating, only paint or ****ty plastidip.

Mike94ZLT1 ... Will the tailgate emblems work on the fenders, and will they cover all of the alignment holes? Thinking of purchasing 3 of these and having them powdercoated black: < ebay URL >
The tailgate F-150 emblems cannot be used to replace the fender emblems ...
  • non-flat back mounting surface.
  • different mounting/alignment - tabs versus pins
  • different length - shorter *MEANING: even if you flatten the back so that it could be attached, it would be too short to cover all the fender alignment holes
If you want F-150 fender emblems sans the model tag/flag ...
DL3Z-16720-A / B - 2013 F-150 Limited fender emblems - left / right
And as others have mentioned ... You cannot powdercoat plastic.
.

Thanks! I'm gonna see what these Ebay things look like when they arrive, and if they don't work I will order the limited ones.

Default Tailgate badges

Yes they will fit with a little work. You must cut off the alignment clips from the back and utilize 3m tape to mount them. They will cover up the holes in the fender

Mike, just stumbled on this thread, since I have a '17 now, I don't look here often.
Somewhere out in the barn, I've a set that is what you're looking for. I PTMed the black insert to red, and the chrome black Plastidip.
If you're interested, these are OEM badges, I can meet you somewhere down there when I go to Garden City later this month. $10?
PM me.
