Default Door hinge creak/pop

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this noise? It's driving me nuts. Lube on the rod just seems to make it worse. (Yes, I know how that sounds.)

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: For clarification, this is the part that's making the noise.

AFAIK, you can just take it out. I think its only purpose is to hold the door in place. I like the functionality of it, but yeah... that noise would lead me to replace it, LOL.

I always rub mine down with some ford grease, seems to work flawlessly. Have you tried it? Wipe down the extra. About once a year is all it needs

I thought I'd follow up on this post with my recent findings. The noise is not due to lack of lubrication, but to the "inside" portion of the mechanism moving. Since there appears to be no way to get to this piece without disassembling the truck (i.e. removing the fender!), I may just live with the noise.
