Anyone else with a Lariat with the front 40/20/40 seat?

Sorry, I must have misunderstood. Although I wasn't suggesting moving a console shift to the column.

Also, there are trucks with center consoles without a shift, but have a column shift. Where the shifter would go is an additional storage bin.

Default I just can't get away from the 40/20/40 front seat

I am now on my 6th Supercrew. XLT '01, Lariat '03, '05, '08, '16, and now '21. Everyone had the 40/20/40 front seat. Yes they are hard to find. The '21 was custom ordered from Ford. It does limit you to the 501A package, so you don't get all the bells and whistles.

Side note: My '16 had a added drink holder in the bottom of the center seat. The '21 has the space and the connectors, but the dual drink holder tray is not provided, so you may want to take the one that came with your earlier F-150 with you.
