I now have this switch working as default to power on when the truck is started. Using a Auto S/S switch with the "OFF" led light as a reminder that it has been turned off, when I do. Using the ignition switch wire as a trigger (thanks to @TexasFording ), which is a 12V+ pulse that is converted to a momentary ground using a SPDT relay. This sends the initial ground pulse to power up without needing a button push.

I blacked out the auto start symbol and will come up with a way to label the switch cover later. I have attached a video of the switch operation. It is used for the front sensor system, which has an audible tone when powered up

If you're doing it as a challenge that great, post the results and the "How To." Although I would like the switch to work in reverse, it's to easy to just reach up and turn it off in the factory configuration.

I would not be surprised if Ford reversed the function of the switch in future models.
