Bought my 2012 5.0 Stx scab (6.5ft) 4x4 in Nov of 16. 139K miles, Sterling grey, rubber floors, 6 passenger. Window sticker lists 3.55 gears, 36 gallon tank msrp $35k but no hitch. One owner, hitch added by prev owner but only 4 pin wiring. Currntly 143k miles.
Dealer was asking $15, I talked them down and more for my P.O.S. grand am on trade. Financed $12k
$15,000
-$500 talked down
-$1000 Grand am
_-$1500 Down payment so I paid $13,500 borrowing $12k.

No rust anywhere for an Ohio truck, a few scratches, no accidents reported. No issues when bought, though, I had to oil the steering shaft U-joints. Bought a ranch hand brush guard off craigslist for $140 which I fabbed upper brackets for it and it has rust but will do the job.

My buddy bought a one owner, 2011 Supercrew 4x4 Lariat with 5.0 V8, clean Carfax for $12,500 a couple months ago. Found it at a dealership in Nashville, TN. Truck is clean as a pin inside and out and runs like new with no issues.

2012 F150 FX4 Ecoboost Luxury Package with 67,000 miles* with full coverage warranty for 40,000 miles. $24,500. The kicker? When I drove the truck away I found it only had 59,000 miles on it! Dealership basically gave me 7,000 additional miles of warranty coverage for free!

Last May I bought my BBB (Big Black Ba$tard):

2014 F150 XLT, 4x4 Off Road, SCrew, 6.5 bed, 3.5 Ecoboost, 17K miles, Group 302A, Trailer Brake, Max Tow (3.73) E-locker, Rear camera and sensing system, Remote Start.

Truck came with vent visors, FX4 headlights, Custom LED taillights, Bushwacker Fender Flares, tonneau cover, bull bar, and custom black Fuel Rims with mud tires. It even cam with the original OEM rims and tires in the bed.

Paid $22.5K, in Ohio, with shipping to SC came out to $23.75K. Was told that it was a turn-in repo.

Top two pics are how I bought it. I am slowly blacking it out. I don't have a current pic.

I just bought 2004 f150 5.4 lariat supercrew for 500 needs headers plugs and coils runs as it is just louder then sbould be and periodic missfires also to add body is in good shape just needs 1 cab corner touched up nothing serious tho and has 280000km on it iv bought the stainless shorty headers to replace the old cracked cast ones and getting new manifold studs and bolts i bought this for a cheap work truck.
Guy i bought from thought it had a blown head gasket because of the misfires and the headers leaking lol he is the original owner oh and spark plugs never changed nore coils either lol.
Il also be doing the cam phaser lockout as well and a single piece double or single platinum plugs not sure what brand il go with doing research outside these forums for that i see alot of controversal claims and opinions im not a brand specific cat i buy for reliability and performance.

Now my question here is im thinking on doing the timing and camphasers at the same time as i do the phaser lockout to bypass the vct cylinoids and ztop the misfires completly and get reliable power and drivability out of the truck whats your guys opinion on making this a diy job and how long to expect to get it done

Wow some of you guys have gotten some crazy good deals. Picked up my '13 FX4 5.0, crew cab 6.6 bed, plus package, luxury package, max tow package with 47,500 miles on it for $27.5k. Still not bad considering KBB was like 32k at the time. But no where near a steal.

Anything under book value is a good deal.
The more under the better though.
