Drill....all you need to do is drive to Alaska this year and you'd be so tired of snow, you'd beg for NM weather again. lol. It's not really that bad, we just got it in big drops. It never built up gradually, just in big drops. Otherwise we are at normal averages for snow, but a bit colder this winter than the last 20 years have given us. It's snowing in Fairbanks right now, but it did warm up to the teens there today.

White...you know I'm very partial to our trucks colors. I agree. With bottom trim painted, they are hard to beat in looks. Without the bottom, it's like a Teal blob. Without the offset, it looks too condensed for me.
I would love to come to AK. I've always been fond of mountain regions. I also don't think I'd ever beg for NM lol. Place is a dump.

Picked up a little commuter car, I'm spending over 200 a month currently driving to work in either one of my pickups. Hopefully this car serves me well. 08 Kia Optima, I payed 2800 bucks! Has 90k miles, and a bit of hail damage.

That rig will save you a hundred bucks or better a month, so it pays for itself in just over 2 years. Not a bad deal.

That's kind of how I'm looking at it too. Plus wear and tear on my truck, id like to have it a very long time and using it to commute kind of hurts my feelings lol.

Funny.... this topic has been on my mind a lot as of late. There's a guy I work with that leases a Nissan Leaf. It's like 230 a month, and no gas.... at all. We have all of the charging stations and that jazz at work, so I am really thinking about this. I am moving about 20-30 miles further from work (depending where we decide to go), so my commute will be about 35-45 miles. At 13 mpg, that's going to cost me 13 to 17 bucks a day in gas.

Might just keep the Expy for the Wife, and I'll drive the Escape and Mustang to work.... but that no gas thing really has me thinking. It's no Tesla (BTW, those are FAST as hell) but it will get me to and fro.

Got the seat raised 1-1/2" and the subs put in today. Yeah, raising the seat.... that was a bigger PITA than I had anticipated. Didn't realize the bottoms were anchored with those 18mm bolts.

Dang.... my back was sore tonight after working around the house, yard, and working on my truck today. So, I took a Lortab and a Neurotin... didn't think much about it, but holy nuts my horizontal hold is off right now. All kinds of dizzy.

White.....you didn't need the pills to be off horizontally.

I like the box, but have a question. Couldn't you have just trimmed the box down to fit under the seat?

LOL.... I know.

The box needed to be 4.25 deep for the subs, and it's 5/8 Russian Birch. I guess I could have had him laser some 1/2", but we mostly only use 5/8 and 3/4 at work.

EDIT: Should have mentioned.... the box is 18 X 10 X 5.5

LOL, I did that as well, with 12's..what, 12 years ago or so lol.

EDIT, - Found another pic, yea made the boxes and used some 20 year old Technics woofers. Cheap but they sounded great, lots of base. Have a video somewhere. That's right, I posted the vid for yuh once white, but you said you couldn't play it.

Here's the vid, -

Hope you can play it, I know you'll dig it, - one of your favorite jams I believe, -
