I like a good bed web.i just leave it hooked at all four
corners most the time and it works to hold whatever I throw in there. It can secure lightweight items with ease.

For my kayak, I use an Erickson Hitch extender https://www.etrailer.com/Hitch-Cargo...n/EM07605.html and strap the boat down with NRS J-Hook straps http://www.nrs.com/product/1453/nrs-...ie-down-straps. For light loads, cam buckles are so much easier to use than ratchet straps. The j-hooks work well with the sidewall mounting eyes at the front and back of the bed (not the box link cleats).

For gear on long trips, I use two Pelican 1630NF (no foam) cases http://www.pelican.com/us/en/product...ort-case/1630/ cabled and padlocked to the box link cleats. One is a wet case for fishing gear, boots, etc., the other is a dry case for coats, hats, clothes, etc. They are wheeled cases with collapsable handles and hold a ton. They're pricey - I found "damaged" ones (their cardboard shipping boxes were damaged) on eBay at a big discount.

Any ideas on how to strap down a paddle boat in the bed of the truck?

It is a tad hard to see in this pic. I have two e-track load bars that I cut down to the correct width for the truck. I usually only keep one installed towards the rear of the bed. It helps keep things from sliding to the front. These things are tough! I plan on drilling a few holes in them, so I can hook in a bungee cord or ratchet strap.

I also have a variety of e-track accessories. I have the short straps with d-rings, and the one with the spring clip and o-ring. I also have the bungee web. I am planning to get a cargo net to replace the bungee web. I like options...

Had no idea E Track accessories would work with this! That's awesome!

I have tried to use the cleats once or twice and they are too thick for most hooks to work with well!

Found this 4 pack of heavy duty O ring attachments I will be ordering! These will be much more useful!

Great info guys!!!

Bullrings. Great for top tie-down points. Sit flush when not in use. I use 400lb straps from wherever.

Gonna Check out the E Track to replace the lame Box-Link.

I went with the
Flush Mount Bull Ring Version, Model # 4025 Flush Mount Bull Ring Version, Model # 4025
...Great for securing Tarps.
