Took the truck to my daughters, dug out 2 approximately 7 foot redbud trees and hauled them home to plant in my yard. She has some unimproved area in her lot and I marked 2 last fall.

Took 1400 lbs of tin to the scrap yard, brought home a tractor and boom, then took the short block from my boat to get the cam and balance shaft installed with a new timing set.

With any luck I'll have a fully assembled engine and on the water soon.

Went to see a friend, and to the junkyard to pick up the parts for my new attempt at a mod.

Installed Bilsteins 5100 rear shocks. Took about 30 mins with an impact wrench and didn't need to jack the truck. The old shocks were worn and there wasn't a lot of damping. I could easily extend and compress them. I've only driven a few miles so far but I tried to hit every pothole and the rear is much more planted and firm.

*edit*
I had 38k miles on the stock shocks.

Finally replaced the yellowed passenger side HID with one I bought a year ago.

Over the weekend, actually. Removed 360# of sand from the bed and transported a reupholstered chair back to the house. Now that the freezing temperatures are behind us (I think), I'll leave the sand out. That weight preloaded the springs for a smoother ride, though. I felt the bumps today! :-)
