I unloaded last night and discovered the store added 3 extra bags of concrete. with the pallet the load was 1920Lbs.

Driver only and nothing else in the truck so i was a bit overloaded as the Door sticker reads 1809lbs.

Unloaded, RAS set in between black and white spacer, rear blocks removed, 28 gallons of gas.

I had a set of Active Rear Suspension installed on mine by an aftermarket place the dealer uses.

Afraid I don't have much to add. This is my first truck and since it was already installed when I picked it up, I don't really have a before-and-after story.

A buddy drove my truck. We were towing a 7000lb camper. He said it felt very very solid/stiff in the back. He also said the normal ride was great as there wasn't much roll going around corners.

All in all I'm happy. In theory it should help extend the life of the suspension.

Do you tow? RAS is the first thing I did after purchasing my truck. I pull 7200lb TT with my 2.7EB. With a good WDH, it really makes a difference in towing and handling. Even unloaded, the handling improved quite a bit by firming up the backend of the truck. It raises the rear 1-2", but, you can take out the stock bumper stop to keep it the stock hight. I am waiting for a set of Bilstein 5100. My payload is only 1430lb, but this upgrade has given me some breathing room. RAS, airbag, helpersprings will not increase your payload, but does improve handling under load. If you are hauling, towing with your truck, it's a small cost for what it offers. Call Nolan and mention the forum price, and he will honor it.

I had gone back and forth between air bags and swaybar or trying the RAS without needing a swaybar. I settled on the Ras system. I should have them tomorrow and I'll stick them on this weekend.

I dealt with Nolan at Roadmaster Active Suspension. No muss, no fuss. I received my kit within 48 hours. I was going to put them on over the weekend but I had some time this afternoon and decided to install them.

Here they are straight out of the box with the front bolt installed. I needed to extend the spring on each side to reach the bracket hole.

Mounted

Wheel / tire reinstalled

Total time for me was an hour and a half. That included doing some paint touch-up on the rear axle and cleaning the back side of the rims.

I kept referring back to the instructions because I thought I was forgetting to do something. A really simple install.

^^^^Nice, where did you set them (tension/ring wise) and how much did the back end lift? How's the ride? I can see how the ride would improve with this setup.

I wonder how they stand up against winter salt, corrossion wise.

I set them up with a "loose" white disc but still too close for the black disc to slide in. I didn't think to measure but I guess maybe an inch or a bit less. I haven't pulled it out of the drive yet to be able to rate the ride. You'll have to contact Nolan to answer your question about what it does up north. In Florida, we get surface rust on anything exposed to our salt air but nothing like the salt bath vehicles get up north.
