Hailed some bottles, Finally got the winter weight out, no need for that now, I was hoping to avoid having to load it back up and take it out again when it's time to bring it home, but screw it. Gave the truck a good run with injector cleaner, then hauled scrap for moms neighbor.
It's been a while but subs are non directional meaning it doesn't matter if they face forward, top, bottom, etc.
I know in home theaters the subs can go anywhere in a room and most are ported downward firing.
Back in the day, I rarely ran forward facing subs, they were usually in a ported bad pass box or clamshell. I ran 10" -15" subs in several cars. Now tech might have changed so not 100%, I run a bazooka tube corner loaded.

They face foward for more mounting depth. Facing up or facing down gives you 5" if mounting depth. And fasting foward gives them 8" to 10"
