So I would just hot wire into it at the light and run the wires under the trim to a switch near the dash? Maybe I'll run it to a switch in the back seat. Hmmm.

Third Brake Light Switch

I was looking wire up my third brake light/cargo light to its own switch. I hate having to leave a door open to keep my cargo light on. Has anyone done this?

Thanks for all the advice. I ended up getting some 5W-20 and put that in instead. It made me feel better to do that. But I do have a brand new 5 qt jug of 10W-30 if anyone wants it.
