You'll have to disable the horn honk on lock option if you don't want it going off. You would have been best off getting the OEM remote start installed or doing it yourself.

Keep in mind a lot of that rust is coming from inside the cab corners and rockers. So you can clean the outside up all you want but you're not stopping it much. You might get a couple more years out...

Sounds like you got some water in the fuse box/BCM and/or you have a bad ground. If it were me, I'd take the seats and carpet out to inspect and dry everything out.

I just did both my TB and MAF using MAF cleaner. I pulled the TB off and cleaned it that way, reused the gasket. My idle smoothed out a little bit, I also did the relearn procedure.

For getting rid of a lot of mice, this works pretty good. Since you're storing it outside I'm not sure how practical it would be. I've stored a car over the winter, outside for at least 5 years now...

What he said. When removing them, take your time if you're in the rust belt. I broke the bolts holding the anchors on my old truck since the exposed threads rust out.
