Both trucks use seven pins and the truck harness...

Both trucks use seven pins and the truck harness wires all the same and in the same position except the 98 has a red wire where the 99 has purple/white stripe

I did not have enough room to pull the tc all the way out. I did switch the valve body and harness. It is a 98 4r70w so I left the shift and tcc solenoid in. What is the tr sensor? Alright swapped...

Had the scanner read what was on and off while selecting different gears and with and without o/d. I didn't change the plug that goes through the trans case. Possible that using the 98 wiring harness...

From what I've read...to put a 98 4r70w in a 99 you need to use the 99 valve body and in trans harness. I think I am fighting and issue with the truck

That was a big pain for nothing. About to cut my loses and scrap it. Tc was done right. Wiring issues with the truck harness a possibility?

Could it be the tcc solenoid? Is it possible to slide the tranny back far enough to work the converter? I said the bolts had to draw the tc back out. Shouldn't that mean I got it in all the way?

I changed the front pump seal when it was out....

I changed the front pump seal when it was out. The nuts had to draw the tc back out after the bell housing was tight to the engine. Had to have been seated correctly
