There are very few quality 6x8s on the market. You will have a much better selection of 6.5 speakers. Higher quality speakers can take more power and have higher excursion, trumping the cone area...

6.5 sub in the rear doors would not be a good idea. You need an enclosure for a sub and it is virtually impossible to build one within the door.
