I have mixed feelings about that. GM's are wired always-hot, and while it's nice to have a 12V source on the rear of the truck there's the off-chance of running your truck battery down.

You should have received a bag with a fuse, relay, and instructions in it. Basically you add the fuse and relay to the under hood fuse block and voila! - 12V to the trailer.

To even have a chance at a 5er you'd have to find one with a MAX gross weight of 5500#, and I don't know of any. Even the small (26-1/2') TT in my sig weighs 4700# EMPTY.

Yup, a little plastic or steel tool that slips over the steel line that you then slide into the connector and pop it apart. IIRR they come in 5/16" and 3/8" sizes.

Boat trailers use surge brakes since electric ones don't last too long underwater. I'd be sure the master cylinder was free & working and that the brakes were adjusted properly. Then tow it!
