Not likely, it has a higher coolant capacity than the eco, or 5.4, it also has a much larger oil pan, and larger external oil cooler, along with windage tray in the pan to keep the oil circulating...

If you're looking for quality without huge price tag, check out Kz-rv.com. We've had a couple of their Sportsmen models, very high quality. Currently one is 13 years old and still in great shape.

My first post and I'm going through this same decision right now. I'm picking up a SCAB FX4 later this week and had a choice between the two motors.

I'm going with the 5.0...it just feels better...
