Should be plenty of room behind the lamp housing. I notice how much space when I was installing load resistors for the front turn lamps. My ballasts are in the oem spot on the bottom of the housing...

For the kenwood receiver in order to watch movies all you have to do is plug in the reverse wire with the ground wire in wiring harness. You don't need any bypass modules like the pioneer receiver.
