Now that I have learned more I come to find out
1. the pro comp set up for my 2008 didn't leve room in arms for the inner housing vac lines, The locking hub inner housing. HAd to modify the aftermarket bracket.
2. the frt was higher than the rear ( didn't Like that) so now I am playing with frt struts and rear blocks ( possible Add a leaf to the rear springs)
I always end up trying to fine tune my modifications to be the best way
3. I want to lengthen my drive shaft as per needs but I need to finish getting my truck to where I am happy 100%
I took my truck to the sand dunes for the first time and the 35's worked great the truck worked great. I din't need to lower tire pressure the tires worked as expected 35 x 13 wide great flotation
Well I wanted 35's for tires. A leveling kit woudn't work for me. So I put a pro comp 6" suspension kit on mine. I wanted the back level with the frt or even 1" higher in the back. so I have been playing around with different ways to have my way. I didn't want to spend the money on Pro Comp Strut which were around 1000 to 1100 so I bought Bilstein 5100 struts for 390.00 there were two setting for the lower spring plate. I used the lowest setting in order to set the frt around 5" I adde only 3" in the rear using the stock block also. All this was as per the Suspension shop that instaled my Pro Comp Set up
man love your truck. doing same to mine. just had a couple questions.
you got a suspension kit and a leveling kit? and do you need aftermarket rims with a 6inch lift or can use you use stock? i dont no much just want my truck riding high
