Just a FYI for you. These FX4 wheels are really nice, BUT, with the 97-00 F150's and the 12mm nuts are another story. They cost about 6,00 to 8.50 each and no one in Anchorage had enough to make 20. They HAVE to be the ones with the flat bottoms and chrome acorn tops. The FX4 wheels are not a taper cut. Anyways, I got all 20 for about 110 bucks in the end. Still averaged over 5.00 each though. I'll be putting them on tomorrow in the sunlight, so I'll send a pic with the new wheels this week. If you ever need the chrome capped flat bottom lug nuts they are 611-228 Dorman, or NAPA BK 6414243. Thought you might want to file that info away. I'm glad I used to be a partsman, and still have all my books and connections. Where would I be with them? lol Bill

I found a set of the 17 inch FX4 wheels today, with new Cooper tires, and 2 spare wheels with tires all for $500 here in Anchorage. Stroke~~ Anyways, I won't be needing any just in case you ran across them and remembered I was looking. Happy New Year.. Bill

Weather is chilly, 20 maybe this week, lows 0 to 5 above. Snowed again about 5-6 inches yesterday.

I bought this truck this fall, with a Westin front grille guard and KC lights. I sold the bar. I put on a K&N cai last week, and definitely noticed the difference. The Ultra wheels were on it, and it came with another set of original alloys. A friend gave me another set of alloys (5 crescent type).

I want a set of FX4 wheels, but can't find anyone who does have, who will ship to me here in Anchorage. I got a full set of new takeoff for my Mustang shipped last year from KY for $240. Tires with wheels. I didn't feel that freight was bad. A set of FX4's should go for about 30-32 bucks a wheel shipping USPS. If you find anyone who has a set of those 17's I'd appreciate a note if possible. We have so many damn trucks here in Anchorage, but all get fixed or are so mangled.

Anyways nice talking to you too. Bill

I think our trucks are mates in year and color. Is yours a Scab? How does yours get around in 2wd in the snow? Bill
