It's like my dear Wifey says, she has carried me all this time so a little more is normal. She's a peach. I'm sure MawMaw doesn't mind, but I know how you feel. I hope you feel better soon, and that you and your loved ones have a blessed Thanksgiving.

Doing great here Jim except for a case of bronchitis I've been having...feel guilty about me being retired and MawMaw still having to work. I've been doing a lot of housework to give her a break. Glad to hear everything is OK on your end...you and the wife have a great upcoming holiday season! Don

Jim, I think after driving them you'll have to make your own decision. I did the same thing , drove a '10 Platinum demo which was nice but had 4k miles on it and they wanted to come off 10k on it's 50k price. I ended up getting the new out the showroom '11 Lariat for 9k off it's 45k list price. The Platinum had the power step's worth about a grand and the nicer interior and rear aluminum panel on the tailgate. At the time getting a new '11 instead of a '10 for 5K less made my decision easier. Who know's if they had a new '11 Platinum in the showroom I may be driving one! I always think of what my PawPaw would think about these new truck's compared to the one he hauled produce in back from the French Market in New Orleans back to his grocery store back in the 30's! My parent's grew up in the depression too. Anyway Jim good luck with your decision and get what you really want. Don

OK, I now know the reason we jell so well. When the Wifey and I got married in 1977 we left for our honeymoon in my '71 GTO. And, like you I would love to have that car back. I sold it to one of squad buddies, and bought my first Corvette. Now unfortunately I have that genetic defect, and still own a Corvette. One would think I would learn. If I miss it, Happy 43rd. That's an accomplishment young folks don't even think of anymore. Jim

When I met my future wife in 1967 I had the '66 GTO and I think she was more attracted to the car then me! Got married on my birthday in 1969 and we'll have our anniversary on Nov.29th, my 65th birthday and our 43rd anniversary. Doesn't even seem that long. Anyway glad to hear the wifey is backing the new purchase the same as mine did. Actually my wife and some of the sales people at Lafourche Ford are friend's and they forced me to buy my '11 a little quicker then I wanted but it turned out OK. I may even get another one in a few year's, ha ha! Take care.... Don
