    Hey Blown ,

I have not been on here in a while and just got your reply . Thank you . The Afr's were good . At WOT it was 10.5 to 10.8 . Boost was spiking to 7 the pretty much holding at 6 PSI . The blown engine had pretty much taken the fun out of the truck for me but am slowly starting to gain confidence in it again . I am having slipping issues that I cannot seem to fix .

Went with JDM tuning . I wish I would have listened to you on the tuning suggestions but got VPM and JDM mixed up and after seeing their website it seemed pretty legit . My truck was fine before and after their tune but only lasted a few minutes with it . They gave me no reason to worry . Said to watch the gauges and if all is well do not even need to data log it . Expensive mistake .

Hey Ford .... It doesn't seem you answer a lot of PM's but I could use a little help :

I am told the bottom end of these 3V trucks will take 400 RWHP . I know a guy running the same tune as I am and he dyno'd 390 and is having good luck . I had my charger ( edelbrock ) on for 6 months with no issue . Put in the tune and the truck was so much stronger . AFR's were good . I was one happy boy until i did a pull from 0 to 90 mph and put a rod out the side of my block .

My question is this : Is your lower end stock and should my truck be able to handle 500 crank HP ? Did passes with Gtech before i put tune in to see gains and everything was running perfect .

    Thanks .

    Hey Blown Ford .
You have already helped me out but wondering if I can pick your brain .

1st - You have told me to talk to VPM about the tune but when I called the guy just kind of said " we will send you a tune and if it does not run right call " but I did not get to speak to the guy you told me to talk to so I can try again . I talked to Fivestar and they told me to data log it and he might be able to help depending if the info looks similar to some of the Roush units . Also explained to me that my tranny is all over the place because Ford mapped 48 different patterns for the computer to run the transmission . Seemed very knowledgable . What do you know about Fivestar and do you think they would be fine ?

2nd - Do you recommend the dual center gauge pod or the pillar ? I am going to order one soon and it appears the center is harder to find but did find them on Ebay .

If you would rather me call then just send me your number and I will give you a shout .

I am new to the site and just trying to figure something's out for my truck. I will be supercharged in a year or so. I would like to know what mods have you done.

Awesome man. Thanks for that info! Glad I didn't waste my money. Sucks that the GT500 SC won't fit, without all of those problems. I can find a SC daily for $500. LOL I'm still highly interested in Supercharging my beast, but I am going to wait for now, and pay that thing off. Then I will do it.

So riddle me this...would I be wasting my money if I buy a GT500 SC?? Of course it is a take off, off of a GT500 5.4L. Some will have 100 miles, and some will have 30,000+ miles. What do you think? Did you buy yours new? How much do you have in it all?

I'm having a hard time finding the correct whipple kit for my truck on ebay. Are there any other places that you know of that I could get everything I need for a decent price?

Hey Blown! I was looking at your GT-500 vent install and I had a few questions. Would it be possible to go a couple inches shorter than the ten you suggested for your install? I have a roush hood scoop on mine and it might be too far forward for the ten inches. Also, could you measure the width forward to back on the vent? I may be able to get it just forward of the scoop with the ten inches you suggested. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
