    I would think that ice and snow are ok for the drive train. if you drive carefully powering through snow/ice can damage the trans case or even the axles. I have seen people blow the transfer case in mud and in deep snow. I had my brother blow the carrier assy in the frt axle on my jeep.
    Just abusing the poor thing.
    Myself I have been real lucky in snow and mud. I have never broke anything. even snow cover to dry and back to snow was ok for me. The dry paved road was brief and short. if the pavement seem to long I always tried to get one side of the truck off to the side of the road. this would unload the bind in the drive line. on the older truck I could leave my truck with the frt hubs locked and just put the trans case in and out of 4x4.

    I'm afraid a front LS would cause too much understeer.
    not sure on that one. all my 4x4 in the snow has been w/open frt axle

    Hey man love the truck dude gotta love the fellow flaresides man. Hey I have a question for you, my truck is the same as yours accept mine is a 06. I was wondering what type of suspension lift you had and what model it was? Im wanting a 6" lift on my truck in order to run 35x18x12.50's. Thanks
