Hey man. Nice set up. I'm looking to do a similar setup with a 2010 platinum with a 28' I'm just having a hard time putting the numbers together. My question to you is "is there a reason you didn't go with a regular 5th hitch and a king pin extension rather then the auto slider?

Hey, just wondering if you had any updates on your fifth wheel experience and any other equipment updates. I've got a 2011 Ecoboost SCREW w/max tow and am looking into the fifth wheel experience. The 2012's have the max payload package available, wish I had waited a few months. Still I have about 1290 lbs of payload to play with after the occupants hitch and junk.

We currently pull 21' TT at 6000 GVWR and have no problems flatland or mountains, but the mpg's do drop after 65, so I drive it slow. Thanks for any thing you could suggest.

    Platinum Sean,

Sorry to bother you, newbie here. I noticed your post regarding your fifth wheel and spring mod to handle more weight. Im looking to do the same with a new 2011 and i wondered what hitch you are using?

I have used pullrite sliding hitches in the past and would like to again but noticed the one for short boxes weighs 315lbs. My fifth wheel is 1500lbs hitch weight, adding the hitch, crew and gear im looking at 2600-2700 lbs. Putting me over spec on the 2011 150's by about 750lbs. curious about your hitch weight and how its working for you?

    thanks for your help.

Sean, I have a question if you have some time. You mentioned the purple/black wire. I'm assuming that you splice both ends of the resistor into that wire? Also, where did you attach the resistors too with sheet metal screws?

I read a post about LED Interior lights where you posted a picture of a manual showing power distribution on the 09 f150. What manual was it you were using, looks like a good buy!

Hey Platinum sean I just read your post on the led strip lights you installed, I'm getting ready to install a backup camera in mine and from what you said, to get power to the camera I tap in the orange wire, and to ground it the big white wire under spare tire. Does this sound right to you?

They will fit the 2010. I got mine in Brampton, Truck Accessories Plus. $115 I think. Much less in the USA of course.
