I was curious about what you knew about the ZF S5-42, and Mazda R2 transmissions. Obviously you know F150s, and though I know a good amount, I'm not any kind of an expert, and I don't know much about transmissions at all. I was explained that my truck was ordered fromt eh dealership with a 4k lbs towing package, and saw that I have the ZF transmission. What are the major differences betweent he two? Oh, and as for your tip on the fluid I should use, it's got a lot more power behind it since then, as well as a complete change in how it shifts, any other tips on how to further improve it's overall performance?

Hey bud. Unfortunately, it's me again. I'm going to do the swap to a std after the march break and i found a donor truck. It's the same as mine almost. I'm wondering only two things though. How would the neutral safety switch hook up? (I have no experience with these trannys) and also, what about the reverse lights? How would they come on if the transmissions get swapped. Sorry for all the questions, but i am making sure I understand it all before I attempt it haha thanks again.

Okay, I was thinking alot about this E40D thing. If I was to put a std in it, would it be worth it? Also, someone said if I had a std, it would not work with my push button 4x4 transfer case. But he may of been talking bull, so, I'm not sure. Also, my trucks a 93 so what kinda tranny would I need, and also what other stuff would I need to get the truck rolling. I know id need to cut the whole for the stick, or take the plate off if it's removeable, also, get a slave cylinder, the transmission, maybe a new clutch pack, a new clutch kit.....but what else would I need? Thanks so much. Sorry for all the questions, im just trying to decide a few things.

    Hey Sean,
You seem to be very smart with my transmission problems. I am still in need of a E40D transmission and I think I found one. It's in a 1994 Bronco with a 302 engine in it. I was wondering if it would work and bolt up correctly and replace the one in my 1993 F150 with the 5.0L. ??? If it will not, I'm going to give up and put a M50D in it. But, if it works, I'll be all smiles haha. Thanks for the help ahead of time!
