Hey Gator I got some questions for you about plugs. My truck has 156000 miles on it. I doubt the previous owner ever changed them. I'm thinking about getting the lisle tool and doing it my self. I feel comfortable doing the ones in the front but I'm worried about #4 and#8. I'm thinking about going 1 at a time and working on them as I have time. Do you think it would be okay to spread them out like this? Between school and work I can't realy have my truck out of comission for long. Will it harm anything to drive it with some new and some old plugs? If so ill wait untill christmas break and do them all at once. I know this sounds crazy but for some reason I just feel more comfortable spreading them out like this.

    Hi Gator,

    3. I'm now getting a gas smell sometimes inside the cab when I come to a stop with air on. I have to shut the air off to elimanate this issue. The service dept. can't seem to find out what is causing this issue. My last F150 was an 06 and I had the same issue. I was told then it was the fuel injectors but I decided to trade the truck in on this 08. I mentioned the past problem with the 06 to the service advisor and he is saying it's not the fuel injectors. I can't afford to trade again to solve the problem. Do you have a clue what could be causing this gas smell inside the cab sometimes?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Ryan

    Hi Gator,

    2. My truck has now had two tune-ups on it, truck has 67k. My thoughts are this truck should not need two tune-ups before the maint. manual calls for the the first. I run 93 gas in truck due to it having roush s/c. So I don't understand why 1st tune-up (34k) the service dept said I had 2 bad coils and all plugs were missfiring. The second tune-up was at (64k), service dept. said fuel pressure regulator was bad and caused the plugs to foul up. I feel they missed the true problem the first time. What is your take on this?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Ryan

    Hi Gator,

Let me introduce myself, my name is Ryan. I have an 08 F150 Limited and I'm having some issues. From reading some previous post, I see you have a lot of the answers to member questions. I would like to ask you for your help in solving the issues I'm having with my truck. I hope you don't mind if I send it to you in seperate messages due to character limits on forum (only allowed 1000 characters per message)

    1. The Auto Climate Control on my truck is making a rrrrrrt sound when fan speed slows down or I turn air off. The service dept. said this is normal, it's the door opening and closing. I read in an earlier post where you posted a TSB for a member who was a similar noise problem. What is your take on this?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Ryan
