Well, I'm not sure where your from, but gas is around $3.05 p/g here..... $70 to fill her up. Haha, so I know what ya mean. Like I said, you take the good with the bad on these rigs. I'm sure I could adjust it with an ECU, chip, or resetting the battery, but who knows... The comp is definitely over-compensating for the intake though. So we'll see...

oh and be careful- with HID kits, you DO get what you pay for... so the most cheap kit will be, well, cheap lol.

When they say "plug and play", that is literally what they mean. All I had to do was find a place to mount the balasts and relay. Hooked up the power wire to the battery and plugged it all in. Every plug has a place to plug into, so it's pretty idiot-proof.
As far as the actual bulb goes, yes, it slides right into where your stock halogen bulbs go. You have to remove the headlight to do this, but its really simplistic. PM me if you have any other questions =)

so the hid kit here that you posted a link to actually slide into the headlight, or you have to buy seperate headlights? Ive been looking at these for a while but was a little cautious to the relativly low prices on them on ebay.

I can't speak for all, but I LOVE it... its really opened it up. I've noticed a significant difference in acceleration. The only negative, is that I lost about 2-3 mpg =( But oh well, you take the good with the bad... It really completed the sound of the truck as well. Paired with my 40series Flowmaster, she sounds like a beast! lol

I LOVE my HID kit! I went with Digital Retro Solutions (NOT a cheap wannabe brand). Try out www.retro-solutions.com
I paid $167 for the kit. Easy install too...
