from what I see in your pictures, the step bar that you show in the 1st pic should attach to the sheetmetal that the current bars attach to, that would be the sheetmetal that extends down about 4 inches, or so, from the bottom of the cab floor. Your current bars are attached there, as shown in your 5th pic. The flat sheetmetal to the right of the 5th pic is where I am referring to.

I just added the pic, it is img_0006 and it shows how the front of the bracket attaches to the truck. they are the thin, flat bars that attach to the sheetmetal that extends down from the bottom of the cab. I had to drill the holes for these, the brackets on the frame matched up to existing holes.

not sure which lip you are referring to, but I did forget to take a pic of where they attach toward the outside. you can almost see it in the first pic. I will take another pic of that area for you.

Hey, I posted 4 pics of the nerf/step bars in my albums. The pics show the brackets and how they attach to the frame.

i was gonna take my bed off to get to the fuel pump, and the bolts holding the bed on were wayyyy to tight.... i used cheater bars, impact wrenches, and everything.... when i put the body lift on, i even put new bolts in and i couldn't even get em off lol i guess i had an adrenaline rush when i put the lift on and got the bolts to tight lol

yea my truck has a manifold leak to.... i also heard that ford didn't put manifold gaskets on em from the factory, which in my opinion is stupid.... i noticed that my truck was ticking one day when i was pulling my boat and it sounded like a lifter or valve.... i got to looking and one of my spark plugs worked its way loose.... and i heard that the spark plugs coming loose were a common problem with these truck to.... not to mention, my truck hit 100,000 miles the other day and the fuel pump started making noises (getting ready to go out), so yea i gotta fix that.... good to hear you finally got your truck running right again
