Im not sure what your question is. But make sure your using the version of that tape that is weather /water proof if you are going to use it to seal the housing. I dont see anything to be concerned about at this point. Take some pics of how its going to sit in the housing and we'll go from there...

Ive installed projectors and ballasts in my truck (1987f150) and i have not had any problems, it is an awesome upgrade especially if your current lens is yellowed/weather beaten.

It is....not... duct tape, it is metal tape. The thought behind that was to keep the white light from dumping into the shroud killing the red glow. I have since trimmed most of it away to allow it too cool and once I get it back togther in the next few days will be able to see if it even needs be there..
