Question Replacing Factory Sony Subwoofer

Im at a loss and figured I would post something here and see if anyone can help me out and give me some advice and tell me a little bit about their experiences with replacing the factory sony subwoofer. I have a 2012 F150 FX4 supercrew with Nav. I have a Shallow 12'' sub with a box that will fit under my seat. as well as the LC2I Audio control, and a rockford fosgate amp. I was hoping that someone might be able to tell me if I can splice into the power wires from the old subwoofer and connect my LC2I and then obviously I would run the rca cables from the LC2I to my amp then my amp to the sub. Or is my only option to splice into the rear speakers to pull the correct base tone to the LC2I?
