Wow. Excellent write up, Summers! I guess I'll have to start mine sooner than I thought. Plus once I get the switchbacks from you I think they'll look weird with halogen headlights.

Thank you! Also , the TRS switchbacks match the Morimoto 6000K bulbs EXACTLY. Problem is the 6000K is a little more blue than my liking. The switchbacks made my Philips Crystal Vision bulbs look yellow.

Did you use foil tape around the projector to keep all available light from escaping?

I'm anxious to see some output pics, preferably on back roads since I live in a very rural area.

No foil tape as my shrouds are huge. I will get some output shots up on the road. I drive 80% on unlit rural roads, these are a huge improvement over halogen. For now here is an output shot on a building but I had my yellow fogs on so there is background light:

I just fear the cutoff would be incredibly distracting. I stared at the cutoff on the high beam of my hayabusa when I still rode

Fantastic write up. Thanks for taking the time to do it. I'll be reviewing it before doing my retrofit!

Very welcome. I hope many people use it as a guideline for their retrofit!

Great job! Now you should get the morimoto led fogs to get rid of the last bit of chrome on the front. It would set it off!

I think I have finally done enough research on various forums to tackle my retrofit. Just placed an order with TRS for all the components. And ordered the same set of headlights from eBay that you used. Needless to say, I'm excited!
