Question Oil System Flush

I recently bought a 1992 F150 that needs some TLC and I was wondering if anyone could give any solid suggestions for cleaning out the oil system since I would be surprised if it didn't have a bit of sludge, etc. Also, any suggestions on natural vs. synthetic oil and oil filter brands?

Thanks

You didn't mention the mileage or if you are having any issues. I would look at the oil filler cap and the dipstick for signs of moisture and sludge. If you are not having any issues I would not want to put any additives or cleaners in the system. You might end up opening up a can of worms.

Talking

as my dad has always told me, "if it aint broke, dont fix it" lol
I have a 92 as well, solid truck, as long as your oil pressure gauge is good and you keep the oil changed regularly you should be fine. If you that worried, on your next oil change, if it takes 5 quarts of oil, put in 4 quarts of oil and 1 quart of Marvels mystery oil. This stuff works really well, but change your oil after about 1000 miles. any parts store or Walmart should have it
