I recently had my transmission rebuilt by a friend of a friend . I am not really sure he did what he was supposed to. After I installed it I took it for a drive and it would not shift out of first. He told me it was an adjustment or possibly an electrical connection failure . I managed to get it to shift out of first a couple times after adjusting the linkage , replacing the neutral safety switch and double checking all electrical connection. Unfortunately it reverts back to the original problem. Shifting in to reverse is also very painful it slams into gear. I managed to get a couple codes . The first code was Converter clutch error and the second was 1st & 2nd shift error. Does anyone know if these are fixable with out removing the transmission? I would ask the guy who rebuilt it but I don't really trust him anymore. Thanks MWT.
