1977 f-150 351m to 360 swap. Motor mount issues
I have a 1977 Ford F1 50 that came with a 351M. I pulled the M motor And I am swapping it for a 360. Swapping the bell housing was no problem. I was told I would need the motor mount perches that bolt to the frame off of the truck I got the 360 out of so I grabbed them when disassembling the truck. Today I went to swap out the motor mounts perches. I took out the 351M Motor mount Perches and attempted to put in 360 perches. The mounting bolt pattern on the 360 perches are a lot narrower than 351M perches. On both sets of perches there are four horizontal bolt holes and two vertical holes. I can get two horizontal bolts and one vertical bolt To line up if I move them toward the front of the truck. I am looking for insight as to how the 360 perches mount to the frame. Has anyone else come across this problem and have a fix? Thanks in advance |
